About Jennifer

Jen serves the Foundation as Director of Marketing & Communications. She is responsible for the successful execution of the Foundation’s marketing and communications strategy through multiple means including news media, digital media, brand identity, video and audio, social media, and more.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Jen managed communications for several Triangle-based nonprofits, including The Hunt Institute and North Carolina PTA, as well as volunteered with Kidznotes, overseeing their brand repositioning. Additionally, Jen has experience in higher education marketing at both Cornell University and The University of Wisconsin, and in consumer products marketing at Unilever.

Jen is a native of Michigan and a graduate of the University of Michigan. She received her MBA from Cornell University. Prior to moving to North Carolina in 2011 she lived and worked primarily in New York City and upstate New York. Jen currently lives in Durham with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs.
