We are proud to have such a large, diverse group of donors at the Foundation. Each individual, family, and business has issues and causes that they support that are personal to them, while also believing in the greater impact of community giving. After the initial creation of the fund, we will work with you to ensure your giving is having the effect in our community that you want it to have, and help you with a plan for your legacy.

Online Fund Access & Grantmaking

Access A Fund Online - You can access the fund that you manage online at any time. Our Donor Portal is our current online platform that (depending on the type of fund you advise) allows you to submit grant recommendations, view your statements, check your balance, review gifts and grants, and research other opportunities for funding. If you are a current fundholder and do not have access, please contact us at         (919) 474-8363 to set it up today.

How to Use the Donor Portal

Login Instructions:

Select Logins on the top right-hand side of the Triangle Community Foundation homepage, then select Donor Portal. If you are logging in for the first time, enter your email address and you will be sent a PIN to verify your email. Note this code is only active for 3 minutes so don’t delay entering it into the system. Once you enter your code, you will be logged into the system.

All fundholders can decide to use your email and receive a pin to log in every time to the system or set up a username and password. These options will remain on the initial login page. To set up a username and password, navigate to the profile icon on the top right-hand side in the portal. Click on Profile and then select “Security” on the left-hand side. You can enter your username and password here. Current fundholders can select “Login with username/password” on this page to log in with their current credentials. You may be prompted to create a new password depending on how strong your password is.

Succession Planning

A succession plan is crucial instructions on what to do with the fund you advise whenever you are unable to continue being the primary steward. If the Foundation does not have a written plan in place after your death or incapacitation, we will do our best to honor your charitable intent, but it would be a guess and potentially not reflect your wishes. Triangle Community Foundation names legacy as one of our core values: We commit to the lasting impact we are making today and for generations to come, we honor the gifts left by visionary and forward-thinking donors in our region and encourage multi-generational giving, and we develop long-term, authentic relationships with all our partners. If you are a current fundholder and don't yet have a succession plan in place, please access our succession plan form here.

Other Ways to Recommend a Grant

If you do not have Donor Portal access, you may use this form to recommend grants to organizations you want to help.
