Purpose
Larry Wood, along with his wife Lea Wood, are sponsors of the Marie Wood Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is in the memory of his mother and honors the values she instilled in him that have been a foundation of his successes.
The scholarship targets those who embark on an educational pathway that can be accomplished with a two-year community college or technical degree, and who reflect the values of hard work, generosity and “showing up”, values that the Woods believe are the foundation of a sustainable path to employment or business endeavors that bring to life the recipient’s skills and goals. Preference will be given to first generation college students and individuals who are looking for specific technical training.
