Purpose

This scholarship is available to graduating seniors from Apex High School who plan to attend a competitive university majoring in Engineering, Business or Math.  Students are nominated for the Charles Harrison Smith, III Scholarship by teachers at Apex High School.

Amount & Use of Funds

$5,500

The scholarship may be used towards any need listed under the school?s total cost of attendance. The student is responsible for all other charges. Payments are made annually for up to 4 years, and the student must maintain a 3.0 GPA and submit semester reports in order to continue receiving funding.

Criteria

In order to be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum GPA None
• Residency Requirements None
• High School Restrictions This scholarship is restricted to seniors at Apex High School
• Plan of Study Restrictions Applicants must plan to major in Engineering, Business or Math.
