Triangle Community Foundation partners with generous donors and organizations in the community to support local students in achieving their educational goals through 35 scholarship funds.

Scholarships range in eligibility criteria, so once you log into the scholarship portal, you will be prompted to take an eligibility quiz to discover which scholarships you qualify for.

Each scholarship has a unique set of eligibility criteria, application processes, and deadlines, which you can filter below.   • Jay Spence Memorial Scholarship

    Be graduating high school seniors or alumni of Jordan-Matthews High School or Chatham Charter High School in Siler City, NC, and plan to continue an undergraduate or graduate education at an accredited public, private, or community college. Students should identify as Christian, exhibit strong character through a positive attitude, and have a passion for making a difference in the lives of others.

  • Kassel Smit Make A Difference Scholarship

    Supports students that make a difference in people’s lives from Cary High School.

  • Kate Parks Kitchin Scholarship

    Graduating seniors at Rocky Mount High School

  • North Carolina American Indian Fund Scholarship

    Be enrolled in a state- or federally-recognized tribe (with documentation), demonstrate sustained involvement in the American Indian Community and commitment to American Indian concerns and initiatives, have family residency in the state. Be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a post-secondary institution in NC, maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and plan to pursue a 2-year or 4-year undergraduate degree as a full-time student at an accredited public, private, or technical college or university.

  • North Carolina Jaycees Outstanding Teenager Scholarship

    High school senior during the current NC resident high school year, have an overall grade point average of 3.0 and provide a high school transcript and exemplify the well-rounded youth in scholarship, leadership, and community service.

  • Ruby Ennis Maynard Scholarship

    Female, 17 years of age or older, have been a resident of Onslow County, NC, for a minimum of 6 months. Be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at an institution of learning which provides either degree or certificate programs, but may not be enrolled in graduate or post-graduate work in a college, university or seminary. Demonstrate that she has been out of the workforce for a period of time, or needs to upgrade her skills or education in order to succeed in her career, or needs to change careers in order to improve her earning ability. Demonstrate financial need .

  • Shaver-Hitchings Scholarship

    Resident of Durham, Orange, Wake, or Chatham Counties and be enrolled or planning to enroll in graduate school, a physician assistant program, or medical school. The school must be accredited by the appropriate regional Association for Colleges and Schools, and the applicant must enroll within one year of the application deadline.

  • Susan Ellis Roberts Scholarship

    High school seniors from Wake County planning to enroll as a full time student at any two- or four- year post secondary educational program or institution. Demonstrate a creative gift in the visual arts, fine arts, leadership, teaching, entrepreneurship or other area of talent and demonstrated financial need.

  • Umesh and Usha Gulati Scholarship

    Seniors or alumni at one of the following high schools in Durham, NC: Hillside High School, Northern High School, Riverside High School, Southern High School, Jordan High School, Durham School of the Arts, or City of Medicine Academy. Graduating with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and planning to attend or is attending Durham Tech. Able to demonstrate financial need.

  • Van and Luella Thomas Family Scholarship

    Graduating high school senior from Jordan-Matthews High School, Siler City, NC who have motivation for educational success but are not receiving financial aid from other sources.

  • Benjamin F. Ward Scholarship

    Graduating high school seniors in Wake, Durham, Orange, or Chatham counties planning to attend a 4-year public or private college or university in North Carolina. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale with demonstrated commitment to community service and family financial need.

    Amount: $10,000

  • Richard E. Whitted Scholarship

    Graduating seniors at Cedar Ridge High School, Orange High School, Carrboro High School, Chapel Hill High School or East Chapel Hill High School planning to enroll full-time at a 4-year college or university. Must demonstrate commitment to community service and academic excellence.
