Purpose
The Outstanding Teenager scholarship program accepts applications from outstanding high school seniors, which are sponsored by North Carolina Jaycee Chapters, who are well rounded in the areas of academics, leadership, and community service. Eligible teenagers will have recently graduated and are starting college in the fall of the award year. The NC Jaycees will recognize the winners at the Mid-Year Convention in August. www.ncjaycees.org
Amount & Use of Funds
$1,000
The scholarship may be used towards any need listed under the school’s total cost of attendance. The student is responsible for all other charges. This is a non-renewable scholarship.
Criteria
In order to be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Residency Requirements: Residents of North Carolina
- High School Restrictions: None
- Plan of Study Restrictions: None
Applicants must be associated with a local Jaycee chapter. If you are not currently associated, you may reach out to a chapter for sponsoring.
A teenager can be sponsored by any of the following organizations and their leaders are listed below:
1) North Carolina Jaycee Local Chapter or Member in Good Standing group
