About Laurel

As the Donor Services Associate, Laurel speaks with fund holders about an established fund, or making a grant through our donor portal, Donor Central. She is the key resource for database management and internal processes for new fund creation. She works with the Donor Services team to provide quality connections between the fund holders and the causes they want to support.

Laurel grew up in the sunshine state of Florida and moved to North Carolina in 2009 after graduating from New College of Florida, the public Honors College of Florida.  Throughout her career, she has allied herself with organizations that make the world a more just and abundant place. Most recently, she was the Operations Manager at SEEDS. Since moving to the Triangle, she has volunteered with numerous Triangle nonprofits, including the Abundance Foundation, Carrboro Greenspace and Durham County’s Project Homeless Connect. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Weaver Community Housing Association.

In her free time, she can be found outside, establishing a food forest in her backyard, finding as many books as she can get her hands on, and reading them to her daughter.

Laurel is a writer for our blog! Check out her thoughts here.
