Michael Lawrence

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Mike leads the financial initiatives of Triangle Community Foundation, including establishing and maintaining optimal financial and accounting operations and controls, oversight of the investment portfolios and treasury/cash flow management, timely and effective financial reporting, and input in the organization’s strategic direction. Mike is a financial and operations leader with over 30 years of  experience in leading business strategy and financial budgeting and forecasting. 

Prior to joining the Foundation Mike was CFO and Treasurer at Alamance Farmers Mutual Insurance Co., located in Graham. He has served at a variety of organizations in financial operations including NC Mutual, NCM Capital, and Deloitte & Touche, LLP. Michael received a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from North Carolina State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
