Administering Organization: Beta Theta Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity

Purpose

The Alpha Phi Alpha African American Male Scholarship was created by the Beta Theta Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity as a scholarship endowment that would to encourage young African American men to excel academically and pursue a four-year college degree.  Applications are available to African American males living in Durham County, North Carolina.

Criteria

In order to be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum GPA: None
  • Residency Requirements: Residents of Durham or Orange County
  • High School Restrictions: None
  • Plan of Study Restrictions: 4-year public or private college or university
  • This scholarship is restricted to male students.
