Purpose
The Almac Scholarship Fund is being created out of a desire to give back to the communities in which Almac employees live and work. The Almac Scholarship Fund of Triangle Community Foundation will support 1st-year college students with financial need who are in the Triangle region pursuing 4-year degrees at a North Carolina public college or university. The desire of Almac is to provide selected students with career guidance, connection to current employees, and insight into the industry.
Amount & Use of Funds
$50,000
The scholarship may be used towards any need listed under the school’s total cost of attendance. The student is responsible for all other charges. Payments are made annually for up to 4 years ($12,500 per year), and the student must maintain good academic standing and submit semester reports in order to continue receiving funding.
Criteria
• Minimum GPA: 2.5
• Residency Requirements: Residents of Durham, Orange, Wake or Chatham Counties
• Plan of Study Restrictions: Applicants must plan to attend a public college or university in North Carolina. There is a preference for students pursuing majors or careers in STEM.
• This scholarship is restricted to students applying within two years of high school graduation.

This scholarship is part of our universal online application. When you log on to the online system, you will be prompted to enter some basic information through an eligibility quiz, and the system will present you with all the scholarships you are eligible for and their application questions.
