Planned Giving

You have a vision for the future of our region, and we can help you make that happen.

Planned giving does not require a large income or vast estate, but only a thoughtful intention to make a difference in your community. Our legacy donors have taken the step to include Triangle Community Foundation in their long-term plans, ensuring their charitable priorities endure over time. Our team is available to help you think through your options and work alongside your professional advisor to design a legacy plan that fits your personal goals and vision for the Triangle’s future.

The George H. Hitchings Legacy Society

When you leave a legacy at Triangle Community Foundation, you automatically become a member of the George H. Hitchings Legacy Society.

Nobel Laureate Dr. George Hitchings created the Foundation to serve our community, and the Society recognizes individuals who commit resources to philanthropy by naming the Foundation as a beneficiary in their wills, trusts, insurance policies, or retirement assets.

Since our founding in 1983, Hitchings Society members have collectively committed more than $100 million in future charitable gifts, and their generosity has made and will continue to make a difference in the vitality of our community for generations to come. "Service to mankind, broadly or individually, is the greatest fulfillment in life."
