Elizabeth Marie Roberts Scholarship

Administering Organization: Triangle Community Foundation

Purpose

The Elizabeth Marie Roberts Scholarship was established through Dr. Roberts’ Last Will and Testament in order to continue her tradition of service by providing scholarships to students living in the community.  Dr. Roberts was born and raised in the Bahama community of northern Durham County and returned to Bahama after completing her undergraduate degree at UNC-Greensboro and her medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina. She made it her life’s work to provide quality medical service in that rural community. Marie, known by many as ‘Doc,’ was a general practitioner dedicated to her patients.
