About Timothy

Timothy is a highly-accomplished Chief Financial Officer, having held the role with six different emerging companies (publicly-held and venture capital-backed) in the life sciences space over the past 25 years. He has raised a total of over a billion dollars in capital, comprised of over $800 million of venture capital and public company offering proceeds, and over $200 million of non-dilutive government funding, pharma sublicensing and collaboration proceeds, and other nontraditional financings. In addition to fundraising experience, Timothy has sourced, built, and managed financial and accounting infrastructure ranging from small finance teams to leading a 40-employee corporate finance group. He has similarly built high performance teams in related corporate functions including HR, IT, and IR.

Timothy currently serves as CFO of Werewolf Therapeutics (NASDAQ:  HOWL), a company he helped take public during 2021. Prior to this, he served as CFO of privately-held AskBio through its acquisition by Bayer AG in 2020. Previous to Ask, Timothy was CFO of Chimerix (NASDAQ: CMRX), where he took the company through its IPO and four follow-on financings. Prior to CMRX, he served as CFO of Argos Therapeutics, a venture capital-backed company where he was instrumental in venture financing, as well as a collaboration with a Japanese pharma. Previous to Argos, Timothy was CFO of InteCardia, a venture capital-backed entity where he coordinated four rounds of venture capital, consummation of two acquisitions, and the successful sale of the company to a NASDAQ-listed entity. Prior to InteCardia, he served as CFO of NYSE-listed Coastal Physician Group, after having joined as VP Corporate Development, where he was one of a three-person leadership team over a 13-person M&A department.

Timothy’s early career experience includes VP Finance of Morganite North America, the US holding company for Morgan Advanced Materials (LON: MGAM). He began his professional career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, assigned to four office locations (including an international assignment), last serving as a Senior Manager in the Research Triangle practice. Timothy holds a degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a CPA.
