Rutina (Tina) Bailey, Grants Manager, is responsible for managing the Foundation’s internal grant processes which include assuring all potential grantees are IRS compliant; the Foundation follows all legal and regulatory issues concerning grantmaking; and ensuring an accurate and efficient grant cycle for all proposed grants issued by the Foundation.
Tina is equipped for the job with a degree in Business Management with a focus on Sales and Marketing, a Nonprofit Management and Development certification from Duke University, and a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from University of South Florida. She is also certified as a Master Life Coach.
Before joining the Foundation, Tina assisted several organizations in obtaining their 501c3 status with the IRS. She has over two decades of experience writing grants for the private sector as well as governmental agencies. One of her passions is helping organizations create a platform to stand out amongst the crowd and be seen by investors and donors. Tina has worked both angles of the grant process; creation and implementation, setting her apart from most in this field. One of her milestone accomplishments was helping the Town of Holly Springs Community Development Department implement a Community Revitalization Grant and assist in the development of the first low-income subdivision in the township.
In her spare time, Tina enjoys writing and course development. She is a two-time Amazon best-selling author of literature focused on empowerment and personal development. In her spare time, you will find Tina helping survivors of traumatic life experiences reclaim their voice, reinvent their lives, and create a platform giving other women an opportunity to do the same.
