Julia Da Silva is a native Southerner who grew up in Alabama and Tennessee, and moved to North Carolina in 2009 to attend UNC-Chapel Hill. It was during undergrad that Julia began advocate for survivors of sexual violence and has served several organizations in the Triangle with this mission. She currently serves as Board President for the Orange County Rape Crisis Center. Now a triple Tar Heel with her masters of social work and public administration, Julia uses her history of advocacy work to influence her work with scholarships, addressing student barriers through application and selection processes, policy research, and donor education.
While staying at home these days, Julia has become a plant lady with over a dozen new plants, started biking on the American Tobacco Trail, and continues to snuggle her fluffy pup, Bo (now during office hours!).
