About Daniela
As a Program Officer Daniela provides support and management for the Foundation’s capacity-building programs and partnerships. In her role, she cultivates relationships with the Foundation’s network of donors, advisory committees, and nonprofits. She serves in a bridge role connecting to donor development, community engagement, and communications.
Before starting at the Foundation Daniela worked with the Latino Migration Project’s Building Integrated Communities program which worked with local governments to create inclusive practices and policies that better support immigrants and refugees living in their communities. She also spent some time working with people experiencing homelessness at Oak City Cares in Raleigh, a coordinated care center offering wrap around services in one convenient location. Before that, she spent a year working with Alamance Achieves in Alamance County to advance outcomes in early childhood education through facilitation of groups following a collective impact model.
Daniela holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a focus on Community, Management, and Policy Practice. She received her Bachelors of Arts from Elon University in Strategic Communications and Religious Studies. Daniela currently lives in Durham, North Carolina and enjoys exploring the N.C. mountains and beaches, gaming, and has recently started learning how to play pickleball.
