As the Donor Development Associate for the Foundation, Bernadette facilitates new philanthropic relationships with potential donors, creates new funds, and assists new donors with setting up their fund, with the goal of providing an expansive understanding of the different types of funds and the impact each new fund will have with the Foundation.
Bernadette graduated from Meredith College and received her Bachelor’s in International Relations and Spanish. Before joining the Foundation, Bernadette worked as a paralegal, a bilingual client services intern with El Centro Para Familias Hispanas, and a bilingual youth literacy intern with Neighbor to Neighbor. She has played a role in donor relations, outreach efforts, and youth education in the Triangle.
Bernadette lives in Raleigh with her cat, Mr. Darcy. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. When she has downtime, she enjoys watching The Office with Mr. Darcy.
