September 10, 2020: The new Donor Portal is LIVE!

Fundholders with Donor Portal access should have received your username and set a password on Sept 10, 2020. If you need any assistance logging in, please contact our Donor Services team at donorservices@trianglecf.org

September 9, 2020: The new Donor Portal opens tomorrow!

The new Donor Portal opens tomorrow and we are so excited to share it with you! We want to thank you again for your patience during what we know has been an inconvenience for you - we had intended to open the portal to you today, but hit a small snag and needed a little extra time to correct it. We're ready to welcome you tomorrow, September 10th, and can't wait for you to be able to make grants again!

What Comes Next?
Tomorrow morning around 11 am you will receive an email generated from the new database containing instructions for logging in the first time with your new username and password. This email will come directly from this address: Triangle Community Foundation <no-reply@fcsuite.com>, so be on the lookout in case it appears in your spam box. Once you have logged in to the new Donor Portal, you are free to explore all of the functionality: make grant recommendations, see your fund balance, and more! Don't forget to make a note of your username and password for future visits, and bookmark the page if you wish!

The New Donor Portal Guide
Our staff has created a New Donor Portal Guide that will walk you through the different features in the new system. You can access it here; we recommend downloading it and saving it for reference.

Troubleshooting
Our staff has worked incredibly hard to migrate our entire database, and is excited about its ease-of-use and functionality, but we know that any change can be challenging to navigate. As you explore the portal using the guidebook, we anticipate that you may still have questions or need assistance, and we are here for you. We encourage you to reach out to your donor liaison directly, or email our team at donorservices@trianglecf.org so that we can best assist you.

Be on the lookout for the email with your new login information tomorrow! Thank you again for your patience and trust!

September 2, 2020: The new Donor Portal launch is only a week away

The new Donor Portal launch is only a week away, and we're getting excited to share it with you! We want to thank you again for your patience, words of affirmation, and kindness during what we know has been an inconvenience for you. Triangle Community Foundation remains committed to providing our fundholders with the best tools and resources to make critical gifts and grants where they are needed most, and we are confident that this database migration will provide just that.

What Comes Next?
On the morning of Wednesday, September 9th you will receive an email from us with a link to the new Donor Portal Guidebook that will walk you through the most important functions in the system. Shortly after, you will receive a second email generated from the new database containing instructions for logging in the first time with your new username and password. Once you have logged in to the new Donor Portal, you are free to explore all of the functionality, make grant recommendations, see your fund balance, and more!

August 7, 2020: Important New Donor Portal Information

We're getting closer to the migration to our new Donor Portal, and we are happy to share more information with you regarding downtime and grant deadlines as we begin this transition. As we shared in July, Triangle Community Foundation is committed to providing our fundholders with the best tools and resources to make critical gifts and grants where they are needed most. It is because of this commitment that we have decided to migrate our entire database to a new platform, and our staff has been working diligently over the last year to ensure a seamless transition.

Donor Portal/Grant Processing Downtime
To ensure a successful migration, the Foundation will shut DonorCentral down on August 14th, and plan to open the new Donor Portal on September 9th. We recognize that this is an inconvenience, and thank you in advance for your patience and trust in us. What does this downtime mean for you?

  • Grants made in DonorCentral before August 13th will be processed normally.
  • The Foundation will not be able to make grants between August 14th and September 9th. In addition, you will not be able to see a fund balance, or perform any functions that you normally would in DonorCentral during this migration time. If you have questions, or would like assistance, please contact your Donor Liaison and they'd be happy to help you.
  • Once the migration is complete, we will open the new Donor Portal and grant requests will be accepted again. We plan to do this on September 9th, but will communicate more as this date gets closer.

What's Next?
Our team is currently working on a guide that will walk you through using the new Donor Portal. We are excited about its ease-of-use and functionality, but know that any change can be challenging to navigate. This guide will be sent to you by email before the new Donor Portal opens, along with instructions for logging in the first time with your new username and password.

Be on the lookout for further emails from me or your donor liaison leading up to the end of August as we share more information. We are so excited to make this change and offer you a more intuitive experience! If you have any questions during this process, we're happy to chat.

July 14, 2020: New Donor Portal Announced

We are excited to announce a new donor portal for all of your grantmaking needs! Triangle Community Foundation is committed to providing our fundholders with the best tools and resources to make critical gifts and grants where they are needed most. It is because of this commitment that we have decided to migrate our database to a new platform entirely, and our staff has been working diligently over the last year to ensure a seamless transition.

When will this happen?
At the end of August, the Foundation will migrate our database, which will also change the functionality and design of the Donor Portal - for the better.

How will this affect me?

  • The new Donor Portal will offer ease of use along with many of the features you've been requesting from our current portal like better reporting, grant search functionality, and more! Before the change occurs, you'll receive a new guidebook detailing how to use the system, and as always, our staff will be here to help you if you have questions.
  • There will be a short downtime when the migration is taking place. During this time you will not be able to make grants from the funds you manage on the site. We'll be sharing more information about this over the next month so you feel prepared.

But I don't use the current platform, what does that mean for me?
While we highly encourage all of our fundholders to use our online portal, we recognize that not everyone has chosen to do so in the past. If you are not currently using DonorCentral, this change will not affect you right now. However, we are really excited to show you the functionality of this platform and plan to reach out in the fall to see if you'd like to join us online.

Be on the lookout for further emails from your donor liaison leading up to the end of August as we share important information, instructions, and more. We are so excited to make this change and offer you a more intuitive experience!
