The Orange County Campaign for Grade Level Reading is an emerging collaborative aimed at increasing the number and percentage of 3rd grade students who are achieving grade-level proficiency in reading in both school systems—Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools and Orange County Schools. To achieve better outcomes, the collaborative believes that developing proficiency does not rest with one system or one strategy. Literacy development to reach proficiency begins prior to birth and includes a continuum of strategies and services to address language and literacy development.
Triangle Community Foundation has committed multi-year funding for Orange County’s Campaign for Grade-Level Reading as a key partner in our Youth Literacy Focus Area.
RSVP by April 6: Lunch will be served, space is limited, register here today. This event is open to fundholders only.
