Administering Organization: Needham Broughton High School
Purpose
Seniors at Needham Broughton High School are invited to submit short stories which are evaluated by the selection committee and scored based on nine areas: Overall structure of story, Overall balance, Compelling interest, Scene, Plot, Pace, Mood, Characterization, and Dialogue/Narration.
Amount & Use of Funds
$1,500
Individual Achievement Award, check given to student, not to university. The award may be used in any way the student chooses.
Criteria
In order to be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum GPA: None
- Residency Requirements: None
- High School Restrictions: Needham Broughton High School
- Plan of Study Restrictions: None
