Farad Ali, former city councilman for the City of Durham, has worked for three leading global financial institutions as a corporate banker, a commercial real estate banker and business / community banker. Additionally, he has been a financial and managerial consultant, leading a business development team for a state-wide non-profit organization that has secured millions of dollars in financing and contracts for businesses.
Farad Ali serves on various national, state and local boards of directors. He earned an undergraduate degree with a concentration in finance from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Business Administration from Campbell University and post graduate training for emerging business markets from Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Farad Ali is married, a father of four children and a dedicated community servant.
