Estate Planning and Bequest/Trust Language

When a donor makes a gift during their lifetime to Triangle Community Foundation, they sign a gift agreement that provides the terms of the fund and how it shall be used.

When the gift that creates the fund is made through the donor’s estate, we suggest that the will, revocable trust or beneficiary designation include language making the gift to Triangle Community Foundation, and that the terms of the fund be spelled out in a separate fund agreement. We can either work with you and your client to draft that fund agreement, or we can provide you with the basic language if your client prefers to retain their anonymity.

The tax identification number of Triangle Community Foundation is 56-1380796.
