In partnership with the Lenovo Group and SAS, Triangle Community Foundation will be sending donations to aid humanitarian relief efforts in China and Myanmar. Please join us.

Cyclone Nargis is one of the worst natural disasters in Myanmar in recent memory. At least 78,000 people were killed and another 56,000 have been unaccounted for. An estimated 2.5 million children and adults have been affected and are in urgent need of assistance as the conditions for their survival and well-being grow increasingly dire.

In the same week, China's Sichuan province sustained a catastrophic 7.9 magnitude earthquake. Authorities report more than 50,000 people have died and nearly 300,000 are injured. Chinese soldiers and humanitarian groups have mobilized to help the many children and adults affected by this disaster.

Lenovo Hope Fund
You can give to relief efforts through the Lenovo Hope Fund by selecting it from the drop down menu below. Lenovo, a global company with thousands of employees in Asia, is responding to the natural disasters by raising money through its charitable fund, the Lenovo Hope Fund, to help mobilize relief and rebuilding efforts in the affected areas. All donations received into the Lenovo Hope Fund in May and June will go toward these efforts.

SAS Relief Fund
With an extensive presence in the Asia Pacific Region represented by thousands of employees, costumers, business and community partners, SAS is honored to help during this time of crisis. Your gift to the SAS Relief Fund through June 30 will provide humanitarian assistance and relief support in rebuilding initiatives throughout the disaster area.

1) By check. You can make a contribution by check. To do so, please make the check payable to Triangle Community Foundation, with a notation on the memo line designating the Lenovo Hope Fund Relief Efforts or the SAS Relief Fund, and mail it to:

2) From your donor advised fund. If you have a fund with Triangle Community Foundation, you can recommend a grant directly to a nonprofit providing aid in China or Myanmar or you can give with other fundholders through the Relief Project. Please contact your philanthropic services representative to discuss specific organizations responding to the disasters.

3) By credit card online. To make an online gift, please complete the form below. Because Triangle Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your gift is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
